Footprints in the Sand

MARLI'S LITTLE FEET IN THE SAND

GETTING READY

SHE REQUESTED A COLD CLOTH ON HER HEAD

While in Myrtle Beach for the All-Star Game, we took Marli for her first of many beach trips. She slept the day away in her sun blocked tent.

MARLI WAS EXCITED!

Matthew and I took Marli to see a friend of ours, Kevin, play in the Minor League All-Star Game in Myrtle Beach yesterday. I was a little nervous about the noise but of course even the fireworks couldn't startle little Miss Priss. We were so excited to see Kevin and are so very proud of him! Here are some pics of Marli's experience.

Marli's First Sunday At Church

My mom and sister are honestly the most talented people I know. Marli's smocked polka dot dress, diaper cover, and booties were all made the day before Marli's first day at church. She had to make a statement!

Taproot Photography

Can I start off my saying, Matt and Shayna Hobbs are AMAZING? While in Tifton, we decided to have Marli's first pictures made. We absolutely love Taproot Photography! We had a lot of fun watching her personality begin to show. Visit http://www.taprootphotography.com/ to view more amazing pics!

Miss Marli Claire Rollins

Well, I've had this blog for several months now and have never written. I guess I felt like I didn't have much to write about until now. Our little Marli was born on May 19, 2008 at 9:36 AM, she weighed 6lbs, 8 ounces, and was 19 inches long. NOW WE HAVE SO MUCH TO TALK ABOUT!!! She may be the sweetest thing on earth. So, I should have known that Marli would make her grand entrance into this world with some kind of drama but I didn't know it would be as dramatic as it was. Although I wasn't supposed to be traveling, on May 15th, Matthew and I traveled to my hometown (Tifton, GA) for our final baby shower. We were only going to be in Georgia for less than 2 days when my big belly got in the way and I fell in a pothole. My mom, Matthew and I went to the hospital in Tifton to make sure that everything was ok with the baby before traveling 5.5 hours back to Greenville. When we got to the hospital, my blood pressure was so high that they wouldn't let me leave. When they couldn't get it to go down after a few days, they decided to induce labor in Tifton. To make a REALLY long story short, Marli arrived via emergency c-section on May 19th! I spent a few more weeks in Georgia before making the long haul back to Greenville with Miss Marli. I cannot tell you how blessed we truly are!!! God works in mysterious ways!
