Matthew and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary today. I've said this before, some days it feels like we've been married for 6 days, then others, 60 years. I don't exactly know why this is, but it could be the fact that we still enjoy acting like we are kids at times, but then other times, we enjoy sitting at home watching Andy Griffith reruns. If we are honest, marriage is NOT easy! We have had some really great moments, but we have also been through some storms. You know how irritating it is when people say, "you have to go through storms to really appreciate each other?" As much as that drives me crazy, there is a lot of truth to that saying. Although, we have had our moments, I can honestly say, that I have loved Matthew every second of it. I am thankful for a husband who loves the Lord, seeks Him, and encourages me to do the same, daily! I pray that we will always place God first in our marriage, our parenting, and in every aspect of our lives. Please pray for us as we continue in this journey called marriage.

awww, i remember that day. such a beautiful wedding and ya'll were so happy! we are finding that at this point there is still so much to learn about each other. reading some great books....going to a marriage conference in november with some other couples from church. a great quote i read in "This Momentary Marriage" by Piper: staying married is not about staying in love...."it is not your love that sustains the marriage, but from now on, your marriage that sustains the love". i could write an essay, but i'll leave it at that. great book. love you (three). and miss ya tons.
