6 YEARS! For real?

Matthew and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary today. I've said this before, some days it feels like we've been married for 6 days, then others, 60 years. I don't exactly know why this is, but it could be the fact that we still enjoy acting like we are kids at times, but then other times, we enjoy sitting at home watching Andy Griffith reruns. If we are honest, marriage is NOT easy! We have had some really great moments, but we have also been through some storms. You know how irritating it is when people say, "you have to go through storms to really appreciate each other?" As much as that drives me crazy, there is a lot of truth to that saying. Although, we have had our moments, I can honestly say, that I have loved Matthew every second of it. I am thankful for a husband who loves the Lord, seeks Him, and encourages me to do the same, daily! I pray that we will always place God first in our marriage, our parenting, and in every aspect of our lives. Please pray for us as we continue in this journey called marriage.

Several New Posts

So, I'm terrible about waiting forever to post, then posting 3 or 4 posts at the same time. Don't fuss, just check them all out!

Marli's New Ride

My mom bought Marli Claire a Little Tikes 4-wheeler for her birthday. She LOVES her ride! She would literally ride all day, if possible. If she could only figure out how to steer, life would be much easier. Enjoy this clip of her driving!

Marli Claire's Birthday Brunch

We had such a great time with everyone at Marli's birthday brunch. The weather was so gorgeous! Thank you all for coming out to celebrate our little girls birthday!

May 19, 2009

Today, my sweet baby girl turned one.

Have you ever mapped out your life? Your perfect plan? I had, what I thought was the perfect plan for my life. Then, one day, I took a pregnancy test. As I am standing there, trying to figure out what two pink lines meant, it hit me! I cried, cried, cried, took 3 more tests, cried, and cried more. It took a while to see that God had bigger plans for our life. He had a beautiful gift to give us, Marli Claire. When I look at her face every day, I wonder, what in the world we ever did without her? Words cannot begin to explain the joy that I feel each morning, knowing that I have the honor of raising Marli Claire.

It is crazy to think that a year ago, I fell in a pothole at The Catfish House in Tifton, Georgia, wearing high heels at nine months pregnant, went to Tift Regional Hospital, and had the most beautiful baby girl in the world! If you have been wondering what has been going on since that time, check out this video of Marli Claire's first year.
